The challenge Mary Pagnamenta is undertaking will be considerable interest to a range of people:  those who are interested in horses and their care, and long distance riding; those who have aspirations to undertake a similar journey, or just to holiday abroad on horseback.  It will also be of interest to those who support the charities involved.

The site will be regularly updated to keep you informed of the pre-planning and the problems that will inevitably arise as departure date draws near.  It will then follow Mary's journey, courtesy of the lap-top computer, although internet connections will be well spaced out!  

The horses will also bring you their unbiased account of Mary's abilities and mistakes, and their own (massive) contribution to this undertaking.
